The StratoQ desktop printer for Windows lets users print directly to the My Prints printer from any local application. The users can set some basic job options such as paper size and layout, and then the job is converted and uploaded to the queue.
The print job will be sent to either the My Prints Google Cloud Print printer or to the StratoQ My Prints queue, depending on the account configuration. The app will figure this out automatically based off your account.
Installation
StratoQ Virtual Printer for Windows - 64-bit (exe)
Run the StratoQ setup EXE. Administrator privileges are needed, and Windows should prompt automatically if you are not logged in as a local admin.
Now the PC will have a "StratoQ" printer available to all users. When the user prints their first job a registration dialog will appear.. Select the location and then login using either Microsoft or Google (use your work or school account). Login via the popup.
You can also manually run the user registration app at any time in the "C:\Program Files\StratoQPrinter" directory, just run the "StratoQ Printer User Setup v2.4.exe" as the user.
Everything you print to this printer will be sent to the My Prints queue.
User Registration
StratoQ remembers the Windows login of the user that registered against Google/Microsoft. So if you are sharing this PC with other users they will get a pop-up the first time they print to the StratoQ printer, and then they will need to register in the same way.
You can always re-run the user registration for the logged-in user by using the following app...
C:\Program Files\StratoQPrinter\StratoQ Printer User Setup v2.x.exe
NOTE: Make sure that your administrator has shared the My Prints Google Cloud PrintTM printer with you. If you can see that printer in Chrome and you can successfully print jobs to it, you will also be able to submit jobs via the StratoQ desktop client.
